What Austin Reaves brings for the Lakers

According to Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium, the Los Angeles Lakers are signing two-way player Austin Reaves to a new two-year deal. Reaves converted to a standard NBA contract, becomes the Lakers‘ 14th roster spot. The second year on his deal will be a team option.

Reaves transferred from Wichita State to Oklahoma in 2018. As a senior, he averaged 18.3 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 4.6 assists in 34.6 minutes per game.

Reaves, who turned down the ability to get drafted in order to join the Lakers on a 2-way, gets the Lakers’ final roster spot. Here’s what he brings and what it means for training camp and beyond:
