Ronaldo & Fernandes react to Man United’s win over West Ham

Ronaldo & Fernandes take to social media to react to Man United’s downing of West Ham

Manchester United pair Cristiano Ronaldo and Bruno Fernandes have taken to Instagram on Sunday evening, to celebrate the club’s win over West Ham United.

De Gea the hero

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men made the trip to the London Stadium earlier today, for their latest Premier League outing.

After slipping to a shock defeat at the hands of BSC Young Boys in midweek, the Red Devils were aware that nothing but a return to winning ways would do, amid a tightly-contested battle at the English top-flight’s summit.

And, when all was said and done, a 3-point haul is precisely what United went on to secure.

A chaotic 90 minutes, which saw the visitors recover from a goal down courtesy of strikes from Cristiano Ronaldo and Jesse Lingard, was ultimately decided in the dying seconds:

After West Ham were awarded a spot-kick for Luke Shaw’s hand-ball in the area, Mark Noble was introduced off the bench by David Moyes, to take responsibility from 12 yards.

The Hammers icon’s ensuing effort, however, was brilliantly kept out by David de Gea, sparking heartbreak amongst the home support at the London Stadium, and rapturous celebrations on the part of their away counterparts.

‘Set on our goals’

And, as outlined above, the celebrations on the red half of Manchester have since continued, long after the final whistle on Sunday evening.

This comes with two of the more high-profile members of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s squad having taken to social media, to reveal their delight with the club’s latest 3-point haul.

First up was star midfielder Bruno Fernandes, who posted the following photo, accompanied by the caption:

‘Never stop believing’

And compatriot Cristiano Ronaldo, who continued his scintillating start to life back in the colours of United versus West Ham, soon followed suit, with the following message:

‘Every game in the Premier League is always an amazing fight for the three points. Today we got to see a glimpse of all the obstacles that we will find on our way, but we have to keep our mind set on our goals. Together! Strong! Focused! Let’s go, Devils!’
