Minnesota Timberwolves are among teams that they’re expressed interest in acquiring Philadelphia 76ers star Ben Simmons.
According to John Krawczynski of the Athletic, Minnesota would love to add a player that could improve the team immediately, however, they would rather to not trade any of their current talent.
Obviously, the Sixers would expect an offer involving at least one of Minnesota’s key members, but probably even two between the KAT/Russell/Edwards trio.
But Krawczynski claims that’s not the case:
They want a premium for [Simmons],” Krawczynski said of the Sixers on the “Athletic NBA Show” podcast on Friday. “Someone that can help them right away. But the Timberwolves don’t want to trade Anthony Edwards or Karl-Anthony towns. Those are those are deal-breakers. And they really would rather not trade D’Angelo Russell.”
With the time goes by, Philadelphia seems to lose leverage in the Simmons’ sweepstakes, as several teams are unwilling to trade key players for the three-time All-Star.
