Lakers sign Kent Bazemore

According to Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium, free agent Kent Bazemore has agreed to a 1-year deal with the Los Angeles Lakers. Bazemore played for the Lakers during the 2013-14 season.

He was actually offered more money from the Golden State Warriors than the Lakers. Bazemore agreed to join on a 1-year deal because he views the Lakers as a title contender, and was told he will have a “major role”.

This past season, the 32-year-old wing averaged 7.2 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 1.6 assists per game for the Golden State Warriors.
