Philadelphia 76ers were unstoppable in Game 3 of the NBA playoffs series against the Washington Wizards as they prevailed in blowout fashion (132-103) to secure a 3-0 lead.
Doc Rivers team saw Joel Embiid playing in MVP-type of fashion as he finished the contest with 36 points shooting an efficient 14-of-18 from the field. He also had eight rebounds, three assists and two steals.
The Sixers shot 58.1 percent from the field with Tobias Harris recording an impressive double-double with 20 points and 13 rebounds. The Sixers made 17 of their 33 three-point attempts with five of them coming from Danny Green, who had 15 points.
Washington, who never got in the game since the start, had Bradley Beal and Russell Westbrook combining for 51 points. However, that was not enough for Scott Brooks’ team, who is one loss away from elimination.
Both teams will face each other again on Monday as the Sixers will try to close out the series with a sweep. If they manage to win in Washington, they will become the second team to make the second round of the NBA playoffs after the Milwaukee Bucks.
