Unlike other players of the Los Angeles Lakers, Markieff Morris has previously been teammates with Andre Drummond, who has just joined the reigning NBA champions. The 31-year-old forward was asked about his impressions of Drummond while the two were with the Detroit Pistons.

“I played a couple of months with him in Detroit before I came to LA,” Morris told Mike Trudell of Spectrum SportsNet. “He’s a hard-nosed guy. He’s physical in the paint. He’s going to block shots. He’s going to rebound. He’s going to dunk the ball. He’s going to be exactly what we need to make this playoff push. I’m excited to have him.”
