Canada’s Khem Birch fit in nicely with the Orlando Magic starting lineup on Friday, going for 14-15-4-4-2. Birch saw a season-high in minutes last night after the Magic’s busy trade deadline. Coach Steve Clifford was impressed with his veteran’s effort, pointing out that his rebounding and screening are very valuable skills.

“He does all the things that don’t show up on the scoreboard, his screening created a lot of offense for us. I told them at halftime ‘Everybody’s got to rebound like Khem.’ He was the one guy in the first half out of all of them that was in the fight. He led the way.”
