Czech esports organisation Entropiq has unveiled fast food restaurant chain Mcdonald’s as its latest partner.
Founded in December last year, Entropiq aims to be at the forefront of esports in Czech Republic and Slovakia.

McDonald’s joins Fine Gusto, Ematiq, and Pure Coco as a partner of the organisation, though planned activations were not disclosed. The fast food chain’s past esports experience includes deals with Overwatch League franchise Atlanta Reign, ESL Meisterschaft, and La Liga Esports.
Ondřej Drebota, Managing Director of Entropiq, spoke on the deal in a release: “I am pleased to see us make giant leaps forward, meeting our vision of becoming an international esports organization. In McDonald’s, we are welcoming an illustrious partner. I am looking forward to pushing Czech gaming together.”

Entropiq has had a big August, having acquired rosters in two major first-person shooter: Valve’s Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and Riot Games’ VALORANT. The organisation also fields teams in FIFA, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, and Hearthstone. It’s also looking to expand into Dota 2.
Martin Troup, Chief Marketing Officer at McDonald’s Czech Republic and Slovakia, commented: “We enter the world of esports with the hopes of raising brand awareness among the important group of our customers and shifting McDonald’s image towards becoming an integral part of the entertainment instilled in this rapidly-expanding cultural phenomenon.”
Esports Insider says: It’s good to see a newly-established organisation in an area that’s not as developed as others, when it comes to esports, get support from a major company. We’d have to know more about the activations for the deal before truly judging it, but it does seem promising for Entropiq.
