Olmo impresses for Spain & Zagreb
This past season has been excellent for Dani Olmo.
For his club Dinamo Zagreb, Olmo featured in 44 games across all competitions, scoring 12 and assisting nine in said games.
Olmo was also on form for his country, competing in the 2019 European Under-21 Football Championship with Spain.
Despite largely being deployed as a central attacking midfielder for his club, Olmo played on the right for Spain’s under-21s in their most recent games.
Olmo would feature in four of their five fixtures, scoring three and assisting one, including one in the final as Spain beat Germany’s under-21s 2-1.
Olmo will be playing CL football
After a standout season for both club and country, Olmo was linked with a move to Tottenham.
However, Olmo responded to these rumours shortly after and claimed he knew nothing about them:
“Honestly, I know absolutely nothing about it. It’s for my manager Andy Bara and my dad. However, I’m not burdened by this.
“It’s very simple – I want a club where I will play. I am still young and for me, it is most important that I have minutes.” As quoted by the Mirror.
Now, Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo have provided a fresh update on Olmo’s future.
According to MD, Olmo will be moving clubs this summer to play for a club in the Champions League.
However, it will not will a club from the Spanish top-flight.
Instead, Mundo Deportivo name Tottenham, Liverpool and Bayern Munich as potential destinations for Olmo.
